With its Romanesque architecture, the porche was used to shelter people who weren't able to enter the church (penitents or some unchristened persons). Two niches were used to place the "dead people's lanterns". On one of the bells, it is written "Seigneur, défendez nous de la foudre et de l’ouragan", and it is said that this message was used for moving the thunderstorms away from Chirac. Inside the church, there are a stoup and a baptismal font.
It was used as a stop for the " Transcorrézien" and was part of the line Neuvic-Ussel, which was closed in 1952. Next to the station, we can admire the crane, which was used to unload materials in Ussel's train station or to place wood on the train's rigs. Classified as Industrial Monument, it was recently restored and placed here.
Situated between Chirac and Chiragol, it was the population's meeting point for the first Sunday after Shrove Tuesday. When the night was falling, the people were lighting some flaming torches and the villages of the surroundings as well. It is 697 meters at its highest point and offers nice views from the lake.
