The church is a roman edifice from the XII° century. Its architecture is quite original because the churchtower is isolated and perpendicular to the gable of the church. It is called a "bell tower", as we can see many in Tuscany. On the building, some marks of restoration are visible.
It is a rather infertile place where the natural prairies and the pacages are numerous, as well as the forests, which are full of game. There is a river, The Vianon, appreciated by the fishermen. We also find in Palisse many ponds preserved by the municipality.
In these villages, we find wonderful houses and old barns. In Palisse-Haute, some Gallo-Roman ruins were found. Aumont and Champier are also nice and peaceful villages. In the Croix du Pouget and in Rio Clavel, some prehistoric tumulus were excavated.
