It is dating from the XII° century and has a wonderful "retable" (see the second picture of this page). There is also a nice piece of furniture with drawers used by the priest to store its chasubles. Its restoration lasted four years and was finished in 2OO2. If you go behind the church, you will find small and grotesque characters, like the ones of Liginiac's church. In the porch, we find two niches, probably used to put some statues.
It is isolated in the middle of fields, where we can observe the Mounts of Auvergne. A pilgrimage is organized every year the 22nd of July. The statue of Sainte Madeleine is then carried from the church of Soursac to the chapel of La Mirande.
The belvedere situated downhill from the chapel is offering a wonderful view on the site of Nauzenac, village that we can see during the emptyings of the reservoir (Dam of the Aigle), when the river is low. In the past, the children were walking from Lamirande to Nauzenac to go to school. If we continue this road, we arrive to the bridge of Lamirande ("Pont de Lamirande") where we can see waterfalls.
