The museums

Museum of the Resistance

It is situated in the former house of the President Henri Queuille, gave by his children to the department in 1976. It was inaugurated by François Mitterand em 1982, in the presence of many personalities like Jacques Chirac, Pierre Bérégovoy, Jacques Delors… The museum has a rich collection, frequently consulted by historians and researchers.

It is functioning around three main themes:

  • The life and the work of Henri Queuille, famous politician who was thirty-four times minister
  • The Resistance
  • The Nazism and the Deportation

The museum has four rooms and an audiovisual map. It offers guided and educational tours on request.
