It is one of the most beautiful viewpoint of the region. From this point you can see the reservoir of the dam of the Aigle and the confluence of the rivers Dordogne and Sumène. It is an observation site for the ornithologists, as we can see different birds of prey: eagles, falcons, kites...
It goes through the belvedere and down to the bridge of the Ajustants. It is one of the rare sections where the road is following the valley of the Dordogne. Then we arrive to the Louis the XVI th's rock, nicknamed like this because its shape is reminiscent of the famous king who was guillotined. By following the road after the bridge of the Ajustants, it is possible to go to the bridge of Saint Projet, limit between the Corrèze and the Cantal. Every ten years, the dam of the Aigle's reservoir is emptied and we can see the drowned villages.
It is the starting point of many fishermen, who find there a remarkable pier. In the past there was a inn which was a meeting point for people from the Corrèze and from the Auvergne. Not far from this bridge, there is a stela commemorating the death of the ethnologist Paul Sangnier, drowned in the river in 1939 at the age of 21 years old.
