Situated on the Triouzoune river, this dam is less important than the ones of Marèges or the Aigle because it is smaller and less productive. Nevertheless, its building allowed the formation of an artificial lake of 1000 acres, which is the main touristic resource of Neuvic. Surprisingly, its power station is not situated at the foot of the dam but next to the village of Serandon, on the right side of the Dordogne. The water is brought thanks to a tunnel of 3 miles and a pressure pipe of 1300 feet.
